OpenCASCADE Debian Package

Welcome to the Debian package for the amazing OpenCASCADE! The
opencascade source package builds the following binary packages:
- libopencascade6.2 has the shared libraries
- libopencascade-dev has the headers, .so links, and .la
metadata files for compiling with the opencascade libraries; it does
not include static libraries for reasons of size and build
time
- opencascade-tools has the tools DRAWEXE,
wokprocess and woksh
- opencascade-doc has the documentation
- opencascade-examples has files in several formats which
OpenCASCADE can read, such as IGES, STEP and VRML
Open questions:
- What should be the dependencies of the -dev package?
Later plans include:
- Use Jason Kraftcheck's scripts to separate it into a few binary
packages
- Clarify upstream's permission to distribute under the existing OCC
license, cf. their interpretation
- If they answer correctly, separate out triangle and attempt to upload
the rest to contrib
- Re-implement triangle and move the rest of OCC to main
